Trailer

Written by the Triad Pictures team and Directed by Andrew S. Cottingham.  The 45 minute film stars Jarred Mill, Brendan Hahn, Jim Godar, and Adam Hurtubise.  It is a mystery in Hollywood where certain Hollywood hotshots keep getting killed, and it is up to two detectives to solve the murders before more occur.

FYI:

Brendan's fingernails are neon green in the scene where he interrogates Andrew Kasdan.  I don't know why.

Many people thought that the scene with Clay Potts' death (the Vertebrate) was filmed with a blue screen.  It was much simpler than that.

The original title was going to be Stars Wars, obviously a rip from star wars.

The original script called for a female news reporter, who was not the murderer and ended up falling in love with Brendan.  the only killer would be the psycho actor Kai played by Adam.  Also, many of the leads the detectives followed would have been given to them by a homeless kid who hung out in the neighborhood and who eventually gets adopted by Jarred.  The original ending was going to be Jarred and his new song, and Brendan and his new wife all attending "The Hollywood Knife" the film that was being made in the movie.

Another idea for this movie started with Brendan showing up at the murderer's house and getting shot in the back, but before he died, would have his life (and primarily this case) flash before his eyes.

An idea for Adam' character was that he was actually a ninja with a shoe fetish, which ultimately lead to his demise.  Adam's hair also inspired a story where he was actually a werewolf.

Rob Heer was originally going to play the news reporter, but dropped out of the group.  Jim was then hired and Rob wanted back in,  We couldn't give him a big part, but in the movie, Rob's house is where Brendan lives.

The continuity (making sure people wore the same clothes for the same days in the story) was extremely difficult since we had to film out of order because everyone's schedule's were so different and no one could ever film many scenes the same time as other people.  For instance in the station house before Jarred goes to the park and dies he talks to Ryan.  The shot of Jarred and the shot of Ryan were filmed two weeks apart.

There was going to be a scene where Jim goes to the police station to rat Brendan out and Jarred recalls a bunch of events very similarly to the scene in Mission Impossible where Ethan Hunt sees his team members get killed by Phelps.  We ran out of time though, filming the last scene two days before it was due.

Yes, I know that the teaser sucks in comparison to the trailer.  That is the whole point of the teaser, to suck, to make the expectations really low.  They were just shown in the wrong order.
